I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counselling supervisor with eleven years of professional training, development and clinical practice in counselling and psychotherapy. I work part-time for the NHS, as well as in private practice. I have experience providing therapy in a range of settings; namely palliative care and bereavement, drug and alcohol addiction, adults and children with learning difficulties, children, adolescents, individuals and families within a mental health setting and also couples experiencing relationship/marital issues.

I am a registered therapist with UKCP and I have professional membership with the Institute of Family Therapy – IFT .

Having studied widely, I have a bachelor’s degree (B.Ed) and background in teaching, with a professional post-graduate certificate in Child Focused Practice and post-graduate diplomas in Psychodynamic Counselling and Systemic Practice with Families and Couples. I hold a Masters degree (MSc) in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy. I am also a qualified clinical supervisor, and have a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Supervision.

Under my professional memberships I am required to complete on going professional development and therefore will attend workshops linked to specialist areas of therapy, thereby maintaining knowledge of developments in practice.
